Terms & Conditions

The word hirer being the owner Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire.
The word hiree being the customer.

HIRE LIMITATIONS

All Drivers/Hiree's must be at least 25 years of age and hold a current full Drivers Licence issued in Australia .
The Hiree's towing vehicle must have a current Comprehensive Insurance Policy and Registration for hire period.
We will need copies of these . All Driver/Hiree's of Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire must not have been
refused Motor Vehicle Insurance.
All Driver/Hiree's of Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailers must Not tow whilst under the influence of Drugs
and Alcohol.
The Hiree's are not permitted to lend or sub-lease the Camper / Caravan or any of it's equipment supplied by
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire to any other persons.
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailers are on road only and restricted to sealed-bitumen roads . Use on
gravel roads is only allowed for short distance to enter camping area's or National Parks.
They must be graded dry well maintained 2 wheel drive roads .
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailer's are not permitted to be towed across river crossings
flooded water,sand,bush tracks and are not to enter a area being threatened by a cyclone.
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailer's are only permitted to travel in NSW and QLD, other states and
Territories is only permitted with written agreement from Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire .
All Driver/Hiree's accept full responsibility for the care and security of Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailer's
including all equipment at all times and please drive in a safe manner according to weather and road conditions.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

A deposit of 25 % of the total hire charge is required at the time of booking.
We accept Direct Bank Deposit, Cash, Visa and Mastercard.
A Security Bond is payable prior to departure by Visa or Mastercard.
Security Bond is refunded ( in part of whole, dependable on condition of Trailer ) within 7 days.

CANCELLATIONS

Over 35 days notice Full Refund is given less $75.00 administration charge.
Less than 35 days NO Refund is given. However if we can Re -Hire for the same period we willl Refund your
deposit less $75.00 administraton charge.
NO Refund for no show or cancellation within 7 days of Hire Period.
NO Refund for early returns.

 

DAMAGE AND INSURANCE

If any damage occurs to Getaway Caravan and Camper Trailers,part of or all of the bond will be retained to cover cost of repairs.
If damage exceeds the amount of bond the hiree is responsble for paying any additional amount to cover cost of repairs or
insurance excess. Insurance cover is included in all our hire rates but covers trailer only.
Insurance does not cover damage or loss to awnings , annex or equipment supplied by Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire.
Do not leave awning set up in stormy , wet or windy conditions while trailer is unattended or replaced.
Damage to tyres or rims is the responsibilty of the hiree and is to be repaired prior to return.
Care must be taken when loading trailer to avoid damage to flooring or furniture when goods are stored on the floor.

ACCIDENTS

In the event of an accident involving a Getaway Caravan or Camper Trailer the hiree must notify Getaway Caravan and Camper
Hire as soon as possible.
The hiree is responsible for making a report to police.
The hiree is resonsible for obtaining the following details , Name ,DOB , Phone numbers , Address , Driver licence details
of any other driver involved .The Make , Colour and Registration number of any other vehicle involved.
The name , address and phone number of any witness , the police officers name and station where accident is reported.
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire shall not be liable for any expenses , injury or property damage incurred through any
accident or incident during the hire period.

PERSONAL ITEMS

Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Insurance does not cover personal items and takes no responibilty for them.
It is recommened to take out travel insurance to cover personal effects and Insurance excess. You can contact us
for details of Insurance suppliers.

INFRIGMENTS

The hiree is responsible for paying all toll ,parking and traffic infrigements.

 

 

SMOKING

No smoking is permitted in Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailers make sure camp fires are well away from trailer
as to keep smoke out of trailer as to keep smoke out of the trailer.

 

PETS

Pets are not permiited in Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailers.

CLEANING

Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire Trailers must be returned in a clean and tidy condition otherwise a cleaning fee of $50.00 (per hour)
will be deducted from your bond.
Toilet systems must be emptied and cleaned before returning or a charge of $50.00 will be deducted from your bond.

LOADING AND TOWING

Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire cannot hire to the owner of vehicle that does not comply with safety standards please check
your vehicles handbook for tow capacity and towball download and also check your towbar for specs stamped on towbar.

LATE RETURNS

Any requests for extra days will be at the descretion of Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire and will depend on availability.
Getaway Caravan and Camper Hire will allow 60 (min) grace before late charges occur.

FIRST AID KIT

A first aid kit is supplied in every trailer.
For health reasons if seal is broken the kit becomes the property of the hiree and a fee of $ 30.00 is charged upon returned.

HIRE AGREEMENT

The hiree by sighning this agreement confirms and agrees that he / she has read the above terms and conditions and understands
and agrees fully with these terms and conditions.
The hiree agrees that the trailer and equipment hired is in good working condition and is fully aware of the correct procedures for
